The Third generation cephalosporin which is effective against Gram -ve is Clavidin-CV.

Clavidin-CV- which contains cefpodoxime proxetil-200mg + Clavulanic Potassium-125mg.

Cefpodoxime in Clavidin-CV is a broad spectrum bactericidal and antimicrobial.

Cefpodoxime is the ideal for switch over therapy from parenteral to oral.

Cefpodoxime in Clavidin-CV shows greater tissue penetration than cefixime.

Where, as Clavulanic Potassium in Clavidin-CV kills even ESBL(Extended spectrum Beta lactamase) producing pathogens.

Clavulanic Potassium has excellent coverage against most gram -ve pathogens.
